First Post

Well I have eventually got around to posting my first post. As my idea of starting a blog was to share my work I have decided that I would share with you my makes for Mother’s day that is fast approaching.

Both cards are Acetate cards, I used A5 white card blanks, matt & layered the front with gold mirri card and co ordinating paper, I used a Kanban Topper from the Safari Range and matted onto dark brown card. I decoupaged a pink rose also from the Kanban Safari kit and attached with pinflair glue onto the bottom corner of the topper. I then took a piece of acetate and wrapped it around the base card to form a bow front. I attached the frame from the topper onto the acetate with pinflair. I attached gold corner peel offs to the front corners of the acetate. To make the sentiment I took another piece of brown card and using a spellbinders die (ribbon tag trio three) ran it through my Grand Caliber. I used gold peel off letters to spell MUM and I threaded a piece of gold ribbon through the tag and attached it to my card.

I made a co-ordinating box/bag using 1 sheet of A4 white card and 1 sheet A4 acetate, a piece of gold ribbon to form the handle and gold corner peel offs to decorate.
I have seen this sytle of card on many blogs but never attempted it before, I though that It is a suitable style card for an occasion like Mothers Day, it just seems that little bit more special!!

I hope that you like them, thank you for visiting today.
